New Zealand has had a disastrous morning in the athletics sports at the Paris Olympics, with Kiwi shot putter Tom Walsh suffering an injury and fouling all his throws, and sprinter Zoe Hobbs missing out on the 100m final.

Teammate Jacko Gill also fell short of winning a medal in the shot put, coming in seventh. The gold went to US athlete Ryan Crouser for the third Olympics in a row.

Hobbs managed 11.13s in her 100m semi-final, but it was not enough to qualify for the final.

“I just didn’t execute a good race.

  2. Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any recommendations for inexperienced blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
